Gulfport Restaurants
Gulfport's restaurants split into two neighborhoods. Along Highway 90 you get beachfront patios and old seafood houses. A few blocks inland, downtown has filled up with newer kitchens in restored buildings.
On the beach side, White Cap has been serving fried shrimp and gumbo since 1929, and Shaggy's Gulfport Beach is the loud, kid-friendly sunset patio. Downtown, Half Shell Oyster House is the original location, The Rack House is the steakhouse to book when you want a good steak without a casino floor between you and dinner, and Patio 44 has the harbor and lighthouse view. Siren Social Club is a tropical speakeasy inside Hotel Vela and is listed in the 2025 Michelin Guide American South. Mornings start at The Downtowner, in the old Triplett-Day pharmacy building, open since June 2026.
Want music with dinner? Murky Waters Blues & BBQ plays blues most nights, and Claw Daddy's is a boiled-seafood hall on the bayou. For a quick po'boy, Lil' Ray's; for sushi, Samurai Japanese Cuisine; and for pizza, Tony's Brick Oven Pizzeria. The Chimneys is the old-house dinner on East Beach Boulevard.
