Worth knowing before you book: it's roughly 3 miles from the Golden Nugget and Point Cadet casino cluster, so plan on a short drive if you want to casino-hop. From Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, figure about 14 miles and a 20-25 minute drive, longer if you catch the Biloxi Bay Bridge at rush hour. Free valet parking is at the door once you arrive.

All 1,000-plus rooms in the 32-story tower are mid-renovation: the standard rooms are getting pale wood furniture, stone-topped vanities, and a coastal palette, with completion targeted for early 2026. Ask for a finished room when you book; a few recent guests mention leftover construction smell in ones that aren't done yet. The casino floor spans three levels with around 1,500 slots and 53 table games, and the dining runs deeper than most Gulf Coast properties: seven restaurants, headlined by thirty-two Steakhouse on the top floor, an AAA Four Diamond room with Back Bay views. Senses Spa, Studio A for concerts, and an 11th-floor pool round it out.

Back Bay Park is a five-minute walk if you want a look at the water without the casino noise. The Old Brick House sits about 0.6 miles down the same street — the oldest building on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, now a city-run event venue rather than a restaurant, but worth a drive-by. The Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art is a quick 2.5-mile trip, and the Biloxi Lighthouse and public beach are a few minutes further south. IP isn't in walking distance of the other casinos: Golden Nugget and the Point Cadet strip run about 3 miles off, so a rental car or rideshare earns its keep here.
Our Take
IP ranks #10 among Biloxi's roughly 47 hotels on TripAdvisor, around 4 out of 5, and the complaints track with a resort mid-renovation: uneven housekeeping, a burnt breakfast plate here and there, older rooms with tired beds and hot tubs that missed the memo. Book one of the finished rooms and this is one of the better stays on the Coast — spacious, right on the water, worth the splurge on a thirty-two dinner. Just don't expect to walk to the other casinos.
