Beau Rivage is Biloxi's high-rise landmark — at 346 feet it's still the tallest building in Mississippi, and the view from a Gulf-facing room stretches past the barrier islands. Downstairs, a 72,000-square-foot casino floor keeps the energy going past midnight, while upstairs BR Prime Steakhouse and Jia handle the nights you want to dress up. Book a round at Fallen Oak, the Tom Fazio course reserved for guests, then unwind at the spa before catching a show at the 1,595-seat theater.

Getting There

Beau Rivage sits right on Beach Blvd in downtown Biloxi, on the strip where the peninsula's casino row faces the Gulf. It's about 13 miles from Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport — call it 20 to 25 minutes by car, longer if you land during a Cruisin' the Coast week or a big fishing rodeo weekend when Highway 90 backs up. There's no shuttle, so budget for a rideshare or rental car. Once you're parked, though, you won't need a car again until checkout — the casino floor, restaurants, spa, and theater are all under one roof, and the bridge and lighthouse are a short walk from the front doors.

Rooms & Amenities

The tower is the first thing you notice — 29 floors, 346 feet, still the tallest building in Mississippi, with 1,740 rooms stacked above the Gulf. Below it runs a 72,000-square-foot casino floor busy enough to earn the Vegas comparison locals actually mean, plus a BetMGM sportsbook for football season. Dinner options run from BR Prime Steakhouse and the Asian-fusion Jia to Stalla's wood-fired pizza and the faster Terrace Café, five kitchens total, so a week here doesn't mean the same menu twice. Roasted Bean handles coffee. The 1,595-seat Beau Rivage Theatre books touring comedians and country acts that sell out before the hotel does, and The Spa at Beau Rivage plus a Gulf-facing outdoor pool cover the days you don't feel like gambling.

What's Nearby

Downtown Biloxi is walkable from here in a way a lot of the newer Gulf Coast resorts aren't. MGM Park, home of the Biloxi Shuckers minor league team, is a block up Beach Blvd — check the schedule and you can catch a game without moving your car. The Biloxi Lighthouse is about a 15-minute walk east along the beach, and Hard Rock Casino Biloxi is close enough to reach on foot in five minutes if you want to compare casino floors. The Biloxi Bay Bridge frames the view north. For food off-property, Beach Blvd and the surrounding blocks put the city's seafood restaurants within a short drive, not just the resort's own five.

Our Take

Beau Rivage earns its reputation as the Coast's flagship — reviewers consistently point to clean, comfortable rooms, a genuinely good buffet, and a wide slot selection, which is why it holds the top hotel ranking in Biloxi. Book it for a first Gulf Coast trip or an anniversary weekend, less so for a bare-bones gambling run — some guests gripe that Beau Rivage front-loads food comps early in the stay, leaving nothing for the back half. Come for the room and the view, not the freebies.
