Fazio moved a serious amount of earth here, building elevation changes that are rare for the Gulf Coast lowlands into 7,487 championship yards, crossed by ten wooden bridges over ponds, streams and wetlands, and shaded by more than 4,000 mature oaks, magnolias and pines. The par-72 layout rewards precision over power — the greens are large but well-guarded, and the bunkering is some of the most photographed in the state. The terrain rolls hardest on the back nine, where water comes into play on hole after hole. This is a shot-maker's course built for confident mid-to-low handicappers; if your short game isn't sharp, expect a long day and a few balls left in the ponds.
Getting There
Fallen Oak sits well north of the beach in Saucier, off Highway 15 — about 20 minutes inland from Beau Rivage on Highway 90 in Biloxi. Since tee times are booked through the resort, most guests arrange transportation through Beau Rivage's golf desk rather than navigating there independently. Self-driving guests head north on Popps Ferry Road to Highway 49, then east on Highway 15 through the De Soto National Forest — budget extra time, since the last stretch is two-lane forest road.
