Scarlet Pearl is the new kid on the Gulf Coast casino scene, and it still looks it: a glass tower with a red neon crown, a wide-open gaming floor, and a rooftop-view pool deck. It sits in D'Iberville, north of the Beach Boulevard casinos, on Biloxi Bay rather than the open Gulf. Five restaurants, a sportsbook that once booked a $3.5 million wager, and rooms that still smell like new carpet make the short drive worth it.
Getting There
Scarlet Pearl isn't on the beach, and it doesn't pretend to be. It sits in D'Iberville on the Biloxi Bay side of things, just off I-110 on Central Avenue, roughly 3.5 miles from the Beach Boulevard casino strip and about the same distance from Hard Rock Biloxi. Coming from the Beach Boulevard casinos, cross the Biloxi Bay Bridge and follow Central Avenue north; you'll spot the glass tower and its red neon crown before you see the entrance sign. From Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, budget 15 to 20 minutes by car. There's no airport shuttle, so plan on a rental car or rideshare. Self-parking in the attached garage is free, and valet waits at the front entrance.
On the Casino Floor
The gaming floor runs about 68,000 square feet, one of the larger footprints on the coast, with more than 800 slot and video poker machines and over 30 table games, including craps, roulette, mini-baccarat, Mississippi Stud, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, and several blackjack variants. Chopstx Noodle Bar serves pho and Vietnamese sandwiches, Ami Pizza covers the late-night slice run, and Lounge Nocherie handles coffee and pastries. Butler's Bar & Lounge anchors the casino floor for drinks between hands. Outside, the Garden Oasis pool deck looks out over Biloxi Bay with cabanas and loungers, and Lava Links, an 18-hole mini-golf course, gives non-gamblers something to do.

Guests who've stayed here tend to say the same thing: Scarlet Pearl still looks new, even a decade after opening, on a coast where several casinos are pushing 25 years old. Rooms come back clean and modern in most reviews, and staff get singled out as attentive. The Orchid Room and sportsbook give it an edge with bigger-stakes players. A few guests have flagged housekeeping slip-ups and steep table minimums, so it isn't flawless. The real trade-off is location: you're in D'Iberville, not on the sand, so this isn't the pick if you want to walk from your room to the beach. Book it for the newest resort on the coast; stay on Beach Boulevard instead if beachfront access matters more than fresh paint.
